Judy Diephouse and Lynne Deptula are from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Judy has been painting in the decorative art field for twenty eight years. She taught at her home studio for 15 years. During that time, she formed a partnership with Lynne Deptula and together they are called 'Distinctive Brushstrokes'. for several years they designed and painted for eleven art shows each year (most of them in the Chicago area). They also taught at the National Convention, Hoot Convention, and several smaller retreats and mini-conventions. Thirteen years ago, they published their first pattern packets and their first two books; Ribbons and Roses and Judy's Still Lifes in Acrylic. Since that time they have published over 100 pattern packets. And after publishing several books, they formed their own publishing company; Distinctive Publishing. Judy teaches at several conventions each year and travels throught the United States and Canada for seminars.
