Dorothy's studio and retail art shop, Painter's Corner, Inc., is located in Republic, Missouri, just west of Springfield and not far from Branson.  She teaches workshops and week-long seminars throughout the year. Dorothy has authored 24 books on landscape painting, as well as others that follow along with two 13-week PBS television series which aired in the late 1980's.

    A nationally recognized artist, she travels extensively teaching her painting methods both in oils and acrylics, in an easy to understand, step-by-step procedure, allowing even beginners to complete paintings they are proud of. Although Dorothy is best known for her work in oils, she also paints in acrylic. Two of her recent books are done in this medium, demonstrating that her style of painting can be adapted to both.
