Jo Sonja's Clear Glazing Medium

For a light sealer in surface preparation or for application between layers as a barrier coat during painting. Use as a general painting medium where transparent colour is desired.

Jo Sonja's Flow Medium

Used to thin Jo Sonja's Artists' and Background Colours for techniques from basecoating to linework and fine detail painting without decreasing the adhesive properties of the paint.  May be used as a very light sealer.

Jo Sonja's Magic Mix

For Painting Techniques; A light sealer that contains an extender for a longer drying time that dries matte.  Use in the brush as a medium for color glazing or tinting, side loaded or floated color, strokework, linework and fine detail painting.

Jo Sonja's Kleister Medium

A transparent extender used with Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours to create texture and transparency for strokework and for Faux Finishes such as ragging, marbling and graining effects.

Jo Sonja's Retarder Medium

A medium to be added to Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours and Mediums to extend the 'open' or drying time for special techniques or in hot, dry conditions.  Recommended for used in brushes after cleaning for storage.

Jo Sonja's Gel Retarder

Delays the drying time of the paint without thinning the paint.  Allows for the blendability of oils with the ease of acrylics.  Mix with color beginning with a ratio of 1:1 for an antiquing glaze.

Jo Sonja's Crackle Medium

For Special Effects; Use with Jo Sonja's Artists' or Nature's Palette Background Colours to create a fine crackle pattern when applied over basecoat color or to completed painting.  Crackle pattern will vary depending on the thickness of uncured base color and application of the Crackle Medium.  May be applied to selected areas to spot crackle.

Jo Sonja's Decor Crackle

A sandwich or layering crackle to be used with Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours to create bold crackle effects allowing the base color to show through.  The thicker and fresher the Decor Crackle, the larger the crackle pattern will be.

Jo Sonja's Textile Medium

For use with Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours to produce items that may be washed or dry cleaned.  Mix up to 1:1 with colors and decorate as desired.  Heat set with moderate iron.

Jo Sonja's Glass and Tile Medium

A two-part system used in conjunction with Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours for painting on glass and glazed ceramics.  System consists of Glass and Tile Primer (Part A) which is used to prepare the surface and Glass and Tile Medium (Part B) which is mixed with the colour for painting the design and used over design to seal when complete.  Safe and easy to use!

Jo Sonja's All Purpose Sealer

For surface preparation to provide maximum adhesion of paint to any surface.  Use alone or mixed with Jo Sonja's Artists' or Background Colours for one step basecoating.

Jo Sonja's Tannin Sealer and Gold Leaf Size

A sealer to block and prevent pitch around knots or uncured wood from coming to the surface.  May be used as adhesive for Gold Leaf techniques.

Jo Sonja's Decoupage Varnish

A heavy-bodied gloss varnish for artists who wish to finish their projects with a thick, lacquer-like coating.  It has been specially formulated for decoupage artists to hide the cut edges of paper.  Applying 8 - 10 coats of other, thinner varnishes.  It does not yellow over time and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
