Liquitex Interference Colors

Liquitex Interference Colors, also known as "Opalescent Colors", are colorless transparent paints made from titanium coated mica flakes rather than traditional pigments. They are unique in that they change their color depending on the viewing angle. This is due to the direction of the light reflecting off of the mica flakes. As light hits the mica flakes it will either bounce off directly reflecting the labeled color or it may pass through to another layer and reflect the complimentary color.

Attributes

Liquitex Interference Colors can be used on any surface that acrylic paints and mediums can be used on.
Available in 2 oz jars (59 ml).
Can be applied directly from the jar, thinned with water or mixed with other Liquitex Acrylic Colors, Iridescent Colors or Fluid or Gel Mediums.
Apply several thin layers rather than one thick coat to increase visual interference effects.
DO NOT MIX with turpentine or oils.
Non-Toxic. Clean up with soap and water.
