Author Maxine Thomas, has been painting and creating Country Primitives for approximately 30 years now. Her first painting class was right after she put her oldest son on the bus to kindergarten, which has led her on a journey from beginner, to teaching a class or two, to designing her first packet, then her first book... and finally, teaching at seminars on the road and at national conventions.

Maxine Thomas has a husband, 4 children and many grandchildren. Maxine says, "To be a wife is a privelege, to be a mother is a blessing, to be a grandmother is heaven on earth".
