There's no sinking, insuring that color on Winsor and Newton canvas remains brilliant and true. In addition, the canvas and primer have been developed together to offer rigidity (for oil stability) and the ideal tooth for secure adhesion. |

Quality 7 oz natural cotton duck with a medium grain surface is ideal for most techniques, including heavier applications of color, and can be used with oil, water-mixable oil, acrylic, and alkyd paints. Each ¾" deep canvas is double acrylic primed and acid free. |
